  This was Ben's first time teaching ENGR 101 and he was great. For a lecturer typically dealing with older students in upper div CE classes, he connected well with our 50 student large class. He's very chill and has a sense of humor, which is hard to come by in engineering instructors. 1 unit class and he graded accordingly. Highly recommend him

  Every class is slides followed by example problems. The lectures are straightforward and helpful. He walks you through the example questions and makes it clear how to solve them. Tests are very similar to homeworks and class example questions. Posts HW solutions. Must've been a comedian at some point, he can be funny when he wants to. take him!

  He is one of the best professors. He does problems in the lecture and he just changes numbers in the test. Just make sure to attend the class and pay attention in the lecture and before the test make sure you can solve the problems that he gave during the lecture on ur own.. and u will get an A. He is also an easy grader.

  Professor Smith is a good instructor. Lectures are helpful. He has a dry sense of humor and will toss some jokes around. The exams are similar to homework and lectures. Highly recommend!

  I had him on his first semester teaching CE205, and I must say that he was a fantastic professor. His lectures are extremely organized, paced properly, and helpful . He provides many examples similar to exam questions . On top of all this he is the funniest professor you will have !

  This has got to be the greatest professor I've ever had for, like, anything. His first time teaching statics and he KILLED it. Lectures are clear and organized, feedback and question responses are always helpful, and even his videos he posted after COVID were short and sweet, yet taught you everything you needed. If you get him, do NOT let him go.

  Professor Smith is one of the best professors I have ever come across. His lectures are extremely helpful, and they help a ton for exams and homework. I would love to take one of his classes again.

  Prof. Smith is arguably one of the best professors in all of CSULB. He brings real world experience to the class room and does a great job of integrating it to the lecture. Highly recommend him for fluids or any other class.

  Loved his fluids course. Very organized, well structured, and easy to follow. He uses his own powerpoint for lecture but also does step-by-step examples which are really helpful for exams. Quizzes and exams are fair, but make sure to study vocabulary in addition to solving problems. Nice, clear, and concise. Would take again!

  Ben is a solid choice for CE335, his course is outlined well and his lectures are easy to follow. However, this review page would have you think it's an easy class, it's not. His tests are difficult, but they do reflect class material. The quizzes are hit or miss. Just don't go into this class thinking it'll be a cake walk.

  He's an amazing teacher . Super clear lectures. His voice is monotonous but it is fine because he is pretty attractive and funny. Study your notes for the exams and weekly quizzes and you should be fine. So glad I took him.

  Good at explaining concepts in fluid mechanics but can get annoyed when asked to explain something he thinks is obvious. Wish he would be more punctual & show up on time so the class wouldn't be behind. His tests are fair.

  great professor! funny guy, keeps things interesting, had Tuesday class only 6-845. Gives 5 min break around 715pm. Quiz beginning of class for each meeting other than midterm days. Tests mostly on what he lectures in class. Practice practice practice! I forever will remember Bernoulli's equation now. Wrote it at least 300 times in lecture.

  Never have I had an engineering class where the average grades were so high. He doesn't hand out good grades, he is just that good. He has a fairly monotone voice yet his lectures aren't boring. I would drew things on my quizzes and he would finish the drawings lol. Great guy.

  The best fluids professor at Long Beach by far. Very helpful and does many examples to prepare you for his exams. He cares about the students and is a good grader also. We had a field trip :) Do your H.W and you will do well. He has movie star features, in other words I wouldn't be surprised if you see him in the next big romance film, yummy.
